Karlsruhe University of Education
We teach and conduct research into educational processes both within and outside schools. Our range of courses includes teacher training programmes for Years 1 to 10 (primary and lower secondary levels), as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in other fields of education. Around 220 academic staff supervise approximately 3,500 students.
Our research in educational science, subject didactics and subject-specific disciplines focuses on the fundamentals of education: from early childhood education through school and adult education to geragogy. Our researchers examine contemporary teaching and learning, develop new concepts and shape the educational processes of tomorrow.
Our part-time continuing professional development programmes are also rooted in educational science. They are tailored to specific needs and are characterised by their close links to research and practice. And through the Karlsruhe School of Education, we are strengthening forward-looking collaborations in teacher training.
