On behalf of the project consortium, I am delighted to invite you to the launch event for the EU-funded LINEup project here at the Karlsruhe University of Education.
The LINEup project – Longitudinal Data for Inequalities in Education – aims to identify key factors contributing to high-quality education for pupils aged between 6 and 18 in primary and secondary education. The focus is on reading literacy, mathematics and science.
An international consortium is mapping, analysing and aggregating existing longitudinal data from 31 European countries to trace the emergence of educational inequalities across school careers in Europe. This quantitative mapping is complemented by qualitative research in the six project countries to collect primary data on the impact of potential measures to reduce these inequalities. The focus is on gaining a better understanding of what schools can do to reduce inequalities in the short, medium and long term.
On behalf of the project consortium, I am delighted to invite you to the launch event for the EU-funded LINEup project here at the Karlsruhe University of Education.
The event offers a unique opportunity to discuss the significance and challenges of longitudinal data in the field of education with researchers, practitioners and experts from the education sector.
Participation is free of charge. Please note that the conference will be held in English. The links to further information about the project lead to content in English.
LINEup will run for three years and is funded by the European Union under the ‘Horizon Europe’ programme. The project began on 1 February 2024.
The project consists of a consortium of 13 partners from Italy, Portugal, Greece, Germany, France and Spain. In Germany, the project is represented by the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (LIfBi) and our university.
